This is compulsory course for all childminders.
Attending an Introduction to Childminding Practice course is a MANDATORY requirement of the registration process with OFSTED. The Introduction to Childminding Practice course (ICP) is the first of five units to achieve the CACHE (http://www NULL.cache NULL.org NULL.uk/CacheDnn/Default NULL.aspx) (Council for Awards in Children’s Education) (http://www NULL.cache NULL.org NULL.uk/CacheDnn/Default NULL.aspx) level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare (DHC). The first unit, Introduction to Childminding Practice, has 12 hours of training. The first unit of the ICP is assessed by undertaking a short, multiple choice question paper at the end of the course.
