Course Content Includes -

• How to keep development records
• Agreed care plans
• Notes
• Transfer records
• Observations
• Assessments
• Helping children 0-3yr Develop through play & learning
• Plan activities to assist in the growth, physically and mentally of children 0-3yr to enable you to help them achieve their full potential
• Organize play to help develop language skills, fine motor skills and assist learning.

This is an optional course available to childminders.

About the framework -

A Birth to Three Matters is a Framework to support Children in their earliest years.

A different language and a different way of thinking but as we help the babies in our care, develop into toddlers and then pre-schoolers, we can clearly see them develop into the following:

• A Strong Child
• A Skilful Communicator
• A Competent Learner
• A Healthy Child

And it looks at four broad stages of development

• Heads Up, Lookers and Communicators (0-8 months)
• Sitters, Standers and Explorers (8-18 months)
• Movers, Shakers and Players (18 – 24 months)
• Walkers, Talkers and Pretenders (25-36 months)
