This is compulsory course for all childminders.
Attending an Introduction to Childminding Practice course is a MANDATORY requirement of the registration process with OFSTED. The Introduction to Childminding Practice course (ICP) is the first of five units to achieve the CACHE (Council for Awards in Children’s Education) level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare (DHC). The first unit, Introduction to Childminding Practice, has 12 hours of training. The first unit of the ICP is assessed by undertaking a short, multiple choice question paper at the end of the course.
